The Lisbon Metro is once again turning a few of its busiest stations into mini Christmas stages. From now until December 22, you can catch free choir and band performances at Cais do Sodré, Marquês de Pombal, and São Sebastião.
It’s a small festive surprise built right into your commute, and one of the nicest city traditions this time of year.

A large general strike is taking place, and significant disruptions are expected across multiple sectors. Here’s a clear breakdown:
Public Transport:
• Metro: Heavily impacted. Expect long waits, limited service, or full station closures.
• Buses & Trams (Carris): Reduced to minimum services.
• Trains (CP & Fertagus): Suburban, regional, and long-distance lines will face cancellations and delays.
